Women in Sport Coaching Scholarship 2020-21 Recipients Announced

Congratulations to Hobart’s Amanda Punch (swimming) and Launceston’s Danielle Carstens (netball) who are worthy recipients of the 2020-21 Women in Sport Coaching Scholarship.

Delivered in partnership between Womensport and Recreation Tasmania and the Tasmanian Institute of Sport, the Scholarship provides women with quality coaching development opportunities to support the progression of the next generation of female high performance coaches in Tasmania.

The President of WSRT, Dana Faletic, said coaches provide guidance and are role models to our younger athletes.

“It is vital that we have women in these coaching positions as they are an integral part of all aspects of sport and we are pleased to support more female coaches in Tasmania,” Ms Faletic said.
