This one-day workshop is for anyone that is interested in running Womensport and Recreation Tasmania's Get Active Program.
To find out more about the Get Active Program click here.
Training is also available via Zoom. Please contact the Program Manager for more information gap@wsrt.org.au.
This initiative is funded by the Australian Government, and the Tasmanian Department of Health.
This workshop is designed to help you develop and implement a GAP for you and your organisation.
Facilitators are provided with a manual, training materials, merchandise, a GAP sports shirt (once their first program is registered) plus a password to access the online portal which holds the GAP resources.
Resources include: lesson plans, handouts, brochures, posters, templates, worksheets, scripts, and links to information.
Funding is available through the 2022-25 Get Active Small Grants Program to help with the running of a program at a local level, as well as support the running costs of activities included in the program. Funding can also be used to offset costs such as the required GAP facilitator training, advertising and promotion, resource development (e.g. printing), telephone, supplementing costs of some activities, or to engage instructors and leaders for physical activities.
The maximum that can be applied for is $800.
