Womensport and Recreation Tasmania (WSRT) is excited to invite female school students and accompanying teachers to our International Women’s Day School Girls’ Brunch which is being held in Devonport on Tuesday 11 March. 

 

Presented in partnership with the Devonport City Council, this exciting event will bring together young women to hear from an inspiring panel of guest speakers from the sporting sector, who will share their experiences, knowledge, and motivation.

Open to school girls aged 11 to 18 years - must be accompanied by teacher/school staff 
FREE event for students and teachers/staff

 

Research shows that events of this nature, and the opportunity to hear from inspiring and relatable speakers, have a positive impact on teenage girls, boosting their confidence and empowering them to reach their full potential. By hearing first-hand from women who have excelled in their fields, our attendees will gain valuable insights and be inspired to pursue their own dreams.

A few notes to assist in your planning:

• This event is FREE of charge to students and accompanying teachers / school staff / coaches.

• Kinetic Merseylink is offering a FREE bus service for schools - find out more.

• As schools and colleges in the Devonport area have varying numbers of students, we are NOT limiting the number of attendees per school.  

• We have a maximum capacity for the event so encourage you to book as soon as possible to avoid missing out.  

• Bookings should be made online and include the name of the teacher or school staff member(s) responsible and attending.  

• We do not require names of students.  

• You can indicate dietary requirements in your booking, or you can send a list of any allergies or special dietary needs through to WSRT at president@wsrt.org.au by 4 March.
