Womesport & Recreation Tas is delighted to be hosting the 2015 School Girls' Breakfast in Launceston on Friday 23rd October at the Aurora Function Centre, Aurora Stadium, Launceston
The Breakfast is a wonderful community event dedicated to acknowledging and celebrating the contibutions of women and girls in sport, raising and discussing issues and challenges, and sharing stories, experiences and achievements.
Girls aged 12-16 years are invited to attend along with a supportive parent, coach, mentor or friend for a shared learning experience.
The Breakfast is the perfect way to complement existing school leadership development programs, providing students with an opportunity to meet some of our sporting greats as they share their experience and insights into how sport supports girls reach their full potential.
The event showcases different sports, helps students and schools to make contacts in the state sporting networks, and provides an opportunity to inspire, encourage and support more girls to start, and keep playing sport through positive role modeling.
